Fandom Rallies

One thing I adore about the Fandom is its fund raisers. After the Tsunami peeps swung into action and nearly 300 authors and nearly £30k raised we had the devastation that hit Alabama. Now we have Fandom for Storms, another worthwhile and worthy cause. I have a few ideas bouncing round for an entry - so watch this space

Royal Wedding

Congrats William and Kate - Stay strong and be true to each other X

Thats right people I want chickens - but I need a house with a big garden first - I am going to be mad old chicken lady :0)

Fandom/Robstens and Nonnies

WHO GIVES A FUCK!!!!! We all like Rob yeah? So why all the in fighting? If KStew makes him happy then YAY! If Tom Stu makes him happy so be it! AS LONG AS ROBERT IS HAPPY THEN WE SHOULD BE TOO!

GIVE THE BOY A BREAK!

Going back to the Gym

I had a gym induction on thursday - I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to my next induction so I can hit the gym for realz. I was buzzing when I had finished and felt very accomplished. I had a bit of an epiphany really, not being able to do the things I liked - lack of money/time etc is a bloody big factor in my depression. SO here's to regular gym trips and roll on uni in Sept X

There has been slightly less of this

During the easter holidays we did this

Dalton Wildlife park

Tv cameras + Public = lunacy

What is it about the great british public and a video camera? Watching the footage of the royal wedding last night - people were going crazy trying to get their fizzogs on the Telly. The highlight of it all was watching Dave Guest on North West Tonight. He was doing a live piece and there was a dozy bint bouncing about behide him and then she face planted and could be seen rolling about on the floor at Dave Guests' ankles. Do not get me started on the silly mare that dresses as the engagement ring!

Where the Chuff has April gone??

Its ruddy May tomorrow! I cannot believe just how fast April has flown by - it will be christmas before we know it *shudders at thought*

Water for Elephants - giddiness

The trailers were a bit pants, but Stewbert has a brilliant site he uses http://trailers.apple.com/ and this morning we watched trailers for X men first class, Harry Potter 2, The Immortals and Abduction - They all look fab

Thar she blows!!!!!

Stewbertina Ballerina took the Pheebz to Asda. H and Babs are at my mum's so I deemed Saturday 16/4 a good day for me to go swimming.

I was up early so scoffed my breakfast as per the book (2hrs before exercise). I headed off to Salt Ayre while S & P headed off to shop. I have not been this nervous in a long time. I cannot actually remember the last time I properly swam. About halfway through my swim, and watching other normal people, I came to realise I have a very bizarre flayling type of swimming motion. I scoop with my arms in a vague breast stroke motion. I have one leg doing the froggy breast stroke leg and the other doing a front crawl kick - seriously how I get from one end to the other is a bloody miracle!

I opted for the slow lane with the goal of 20 lengths, I thought this was a tad extreme, so opted for a lesser goal of 10, I felt good after 10, so I thought I would another 5. I did another 4 then ended up gassing to one of Stew's friends Dr Paul who was in the fast lane. Dr Paul is a mentalist (said with love) as he does triathlons - see a mentalist!!!

After a chinwag, I set off again and did 6 lengths almost back to back. I felt brilliant 20 length target hit. Cue Rocky music as I exited the pool, and ended up on the floor  - My legs gave out under protest I think - Cue cute young lifeguard boy asking me if I need help.  I got up pretty rapidly and wobbled off into the changing rooms.

I had to have my emergemcy chocolate frog  and a bottle of water in the changing rooms. Hypo's are fun (NOT). I managed to get dressed after checking facebook and twitter on my mobile, and headed on out to meet S&P, I was so shaky by the time I got to the car, I ended up eating 2 hot cross buns, 2 jammy dodgers on the way home and then choccie once I got home.

This is what I hate about being diabetic and the eating before exercise thing - Do I risk a hypo or a stitch?

I am so proud of myself for doing the lengths but all my hard work is wiped out eating the crap to bring my blood sugar back up. Tis a strange feeling being proud of yourself whilst being angry at your pancreas.

I need to get some glucose tablets before my next swim

Reprieve from the ground hog school runs

Its day 4 of the easter hols and everyone is still living in relative harmony. The hols are a blessing and a curse for me. Bored kids with no routine and no money to entertain them does not a happy Saz make BUT not having to have the ground hog day school runs is just fantastic - Every morning is the same, eat your breakfast, get dressed, put your socks on, brush your teeth - why? because you have to, Get your coat, dont forget your bag, dont run, dont fight over opening the gate, dont, push, dont run, watch the dog poo, move away from the road, stop fighting, watch the dog poo, dont run, stop fighting over the button, when I say go I mean GO!!!!!!

AARRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH - I am going to enjoy the rest of the holidays

Source Code

I went to see this last week with my film wife - Sam. We went to see Limitless but we missed the beginning due to traffic, so we opted for Source Code instead. Its a bloody good film - go watch it!

Smells

Two smells to talk about in this blog.

Smell one - BABIES!!!!! oh yes sexy times = babies and babies = sniffing. Babies smell lovely (obvs not when they have poo'ed). If I hold any baby, I have to sniff them and then I have to pretend to eat their fingers and their toes, nom nom nom. I am an unrepentant baby sniffer - I would just like to say that i dont chase prams trying to get my beak in there. These are babies that I am holding with their parents permission.

Smell two - Toast - if in the wrong hands can be a torture device. My evil husbeast had a hoooooogh plate of toast the other evening when I was fasting for my blood test. The aroma of toast is the best smell ever but when you are hungry its the most evil form of torture. Oh Bum - now I really want toast!

This week I did something I have never done before.

I had blood tests on Tuesday - Fasting Bloods for HBAC1 and Thyroid levels. So to resist temptation from the kids breakfasts, I hid in bed until I was time to leave the house, so I just rolled out of bed, got dressed and left the house.

WIERD!!!!!!!! I have never done that before and everything seemed off kilter and brighter. I have worked out that if Saz doesn't have breakfast - Saz's brain haz the dumb

Goose and Gander (R-patz mentioned)

Being a female has its good points and it bad ones - Inequality really gets my goat!

I find this young man ^^ incredibly attractive - he is 12 years my junior. I also find this young man  very attractive( I think I have a thing for eyebrows - but not monobrows)

Shock horror he is only 21 so 15 years my junior!! This makes me a bad person - a cougar (techincially I am  Puma as I'm not over 40 yet!)

Now if I profess my love for these mighty fine gents

This is perfectly acceptable as they are my age or older.

Now on the flip side a 36 year old man and a 25 year woman would result in many a pat on the back as would a 21 year old man and a 36 year old woman.

I am not age-ist when it comes to looks - Sir Sean Connery is still easy on the eye and he is in his 70's!

The big question is - My lovely darling husband (who I embarrass with my Robsession) is 3 years younger than me, So do I get the pat on the back for snagging a younger model? or does he get the pat on the back for grabbing the older woman?
